Anti-wrinkle treatments and facial enhancements in the St Albans area.

    Skin boosting treatments

Skin boosting treatments are designed to improve quality of your skin. They can help reduce fine lines and uneven skin tones, improve the texture and firmness of your skin and target pigmentation, sun damage and scarring. I offer a variety of treatments depending on your individual needs.

    Dermaroller

Dermaroller or skin needling techniques produces multiple superficial puncture wounds which stimulate the skin to create more collagen and elastin in order to heal. This process of skin healing leaves your skin rejuvenated and refreshed. By using specific serums we are able to tailor your treatment to your specific requirements, whether that be reducing excess oil, pigmentation reduction, anti-wrinkle, scar reduction or skin plumping. There is rapid healing and very little downtime following treatment. 3-5 treatments are recommended for optimal results. Scar treatment may require more treatments. Stretch marks can also be treated. Numbing cream is applied depending on the area being treated.

    Skin peel

Skin peels can improve skin quality by removing red skin cells leaving you skin feeling soft, clean and revitalised. There is very little down time with the superficial 40% glycolic acid skin peel which can be repeated on a regular basis and if necessary, treatment with a higher strength (70%-medical practitioners only) peel can be administered. This treatment can be very effective as a stand alone treatment or in conjunction with mesotherapy, see below.

    Mesotherapy

Mesotherapy is a treatment where a series of multiple superficial injections deliver skin boosting products to the skin, most commonly hyaluronic acid. The procedure is relatively painless and the skin boosting effects are almost instant. Preceding the treatment with a glycolic skin peel will optimise the treatment outcome. A series of treatments is recommended to optimise and maintain results.

How long does the treatment last?

Botox begins to take effect within the first few days of administration. The full effects will be achieved after 2 weeks. At this stage, you will have your follow up consultation and top up injections if necessary at no additional cost. Botox usually last 3-6 months and on average people require 3 per year to maintain the desired results. After a period of repeated treatments, some people find they require less frequent appointments as they have ‘broken the habit’ of the frowning which lead to the furrows and wrinkles in the first place.

All these skin boosting treatments can be done on the face, neck, décolletage and hands.
